Clay artist, Stephen Procter: "As someone who is essentially self taught, I feel like anybody can teach themselves as long as they know what to pay attention to and they're not intimidated. Al lot of my teaching is about helping people get passed the idea of: 'Oh I could never do that' and I'm just saying: 'Break it down. You can always make it smaller increments and work with that and build on that.' So the process that I use to teach is more about patience and strategies than it is about brut strength and world class talent to work with large amounts of clay.
