Seth Orza, designer of the ORZA ballet shoes: "I designed it and prototyped it as well. Each part of the shoe, I built myself, with prototyping and the process of trial and error. I would try these in rehearsals, I would try them in shows, the different ways that you would assemble it. It's almost like a puzzle in the back of the heel section where every single part of it makes a stable structure because I didn't want the the shoe, where the dancer feels they are almost on top of the pad and not part of the shoe. So when you put on the shoe, it actually hugs you heel and makes it like very stable and structured."
