Robert Sherman, the award-winning broadcaster of WQXR in New York City.

Award-winning American radio broadcaster Robert Sherman is talking about how his career started as a broadcaster. He hosted radio programs such as as the folk music program Woody’s Children and The Listening Room, at WQXR in New York Robert tells the story about how he first became aware of his love for classical music by watching the famous Disney Film, Fantasia. Robert has such great insight into the world of music and had the great privilege to interview many musicians since 1970, such as Luciano Pavarotti, Carter Brey, Andres Segovia, Robert Joffrey, Montserrat Caballe, James Levine, Franco Zeffirelli and many more. Apart from being a broadcaster, Robert was also an author, music critic and columnist for the New York Times and served at the faculty of the Juiliard School for nearly 20 years. This was a wonderful privilege to be talking to Robert about his career and the great work he has been doing over the years.
