His love and passion for ballet took Preston Li from Beijing to America. His fascinating story of how he started with Chinese folk dancing but following his heart to become a ballet dancer. Hear is story of how he manged to make his auditions tapes in the years before the luxury of the internet, and sent them across the world just to get the opportunity to join a ballet company. He is now based in Los Angeles and started his own Ballet academy teaching mainly ballet for adult students, of which the oldest is 85 years old. He believes we are never to old to do ballet or any form of art. He also insists to teach the correct ballet technique even though his dancers only do ballet for their enjoyment. Preston's love for what he is doing is so clear to see from the training videos he posts on Instagram and youtube and I admire him so much for bringing ballet to the community of Los Angeles.
