Nils Wanderer - Counter tenor and Choreographer
Counter Tenor and Choreographer Nils Wanderer is talking about his new single release St Petersburg and the collaboration between him Peter Plate and Ulf Sommer of the German Pop group Rozenstolz to produce this song.
The song is about the forbidden love between two men and it speaks about the fact that there are still a lot of prejudice and intolerance in the world against same sex relationships. The proceeds of this single goes to the Aids foundation and at the time of this interview, the single already had 77000 views here on youtube within a week of its release. Nils sees himself not only as an opera singer but as an artist in general. Opera singing is just another tool to release his artistry and energy.
His is now working on a new project called "Wanderer" where they are exploring the world of Baroque music where it meets techno sounds. He feels himself free as an artist to express his urges and emotions.
Hear more about how he started singing, his work as choreographer and his wishes for the future. I feel myself very privileged to get the opportunity to speak to such inspirational artists such as Nils Wanderer.
