Iestyn Edwards - My Tutu Went AWOL: A Drag Ballerina In Iraq And Afghanistan

A book tour performance, "a whole kit and caboodle" on zoom for the world to see. Iestyn Edwards, Author, entertainer and Bass Baritone introduce me to Madame Galina, who has appeared with Combined Services Entertainment on bases throughout Iraq and Afghanistan. Even thought he was asked to do more Schumann and less Sugarplum, I was very happy to see his Madame Galina act. In her Tutu, Madame Galina, in true diva manner, performed her solo before Iestyn gave an introduction to his book: My Tutu went Awol. He wrote about his experiences as entertainer to the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Iestyn does not only has a great sense of humour in which he tells stories, but he also has the most beautiful Bass Baritone voice that he only recently started training. This was the most wonderful entertaining zoom interview with an artist who has sung at a naval supper in the presence of her Majesty the Queen and who also took risks to entertain soldiers on the war front. Iestyn, thank you for this wonderful book tour performance. You made my day beautiful!
