"I am really not a big fan of saying, no if you're an opera singer then you can't do musical theatre, because it's not true. Unfortunately the industry is like that, but I personally will not put myself in a box, because I enjoy doing both." says Baritone Jubin Amiri. Even thought he is an opera singer, Jubin says he is growing fonder and fonder of singing in Musicals as well and he believes that it is just a matter of adapting your singing technique to be able to sing both opera and in musical theatre. After watching the musical "We will rock you" the seed to become a musician was planted and he became interested in playing the guitar and taking up his piano lessons again. It was a teacher at his school who encouraged him to take singing lessons and intuitively he became more drawn to opera music.
