Hsin -Yun Huang - The real technique is to be able to say artistically what you want to say fully.
"I think once you divide art into these different categories then we have trouble. I always say that the best technique is to be able to express your intention up to the fullest. The real technique is to be able to say artistically what you want to say fully. So that could include all of the depth and the nuancing and the expressivity, and it can include speed and velocity and being flexible " says Violist Hsin-Yun Huang. She is also talking about the wonderful project she did with Alessandra Ashkenazy and the dancers of her ballet school Ashkenazy Ballet. "She has such an amazing respect for music, for silence, for drama. She did not just let there be dancing in time with the music, she allowed many moments to be blank." explains Hsin-Yun about the choreography by Alessandra and how she also included her dancers to give there input in the choreography.
