Hannon Bothma: To make someone look their best, is to focus on and enhance their best features.
Hannon Bothma was fascinated by beauty and fashion from a young age. He used to accompany his mother to Ophelia’s Hair Salon where he would sit cross-legged on the floor, mesmerized by the transformations women underwent after sitting under the cocoon hair dryers. Hannon's dream, from a young age had been a career in the fashion world. To break into the industry, Bothma offered his services as a makeup artist and hairstylist for free to the Cape Argus and various magazines, provided they credited him. At 25, he opened his first salon in Sea Point.
Bothma furthered his education at Cape Technical College, studying hairdressing and cosmetology while also apprenticing. He honed his skills by offering his services at events and training with cosmetic houses in South Africa and Belgium.
