Composer Oliver Ostermann - Spuk unterm Riesenrad
Composer Oliver Ostermann is talking about the new opera he wrote called Spuk unterm Riesenrad for the Theatre Chemnitz in Germany. The storyline is based on the television program of 1979 with characters from a ghost train, the Giant, the Witch and Rumplestiltskin, that come to live. They are chased by the ghost train's owner and his grandchildren and the three flee across Germany and try to hide in a castle. The text for the opera was written by stage director Thomas Winter. Oliver is talking about the staging for the opera, with opera choir and children's choir and what was most important to him was the roles of the children are played by children.
