Anete Liepina - Soprano: Every performer should remember why we are doing this.

"Anete Liepina was born in Latvia. She performed her first role with the Latvian State Opera at the age of 14 in Benjamin Britten’s Opera “Noye’s Fludde” where she sang the role of Gossip Girl. In 2011 she moved to Vienna in order to study Operette at the MUK under Professor Wolfgang Dosch, and Voice at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien with Professor Annamaria Rott (voice) and Viktoria Grois (accompany).

Since then she has been seen on the stage of the Herbsttage Blindenmarkt as Beatrice in “Boccaccio”, and has sung the roles of Laura in “Bettelstudent” and Magdalena in the wold premiere of the musical “Löwenherz” from Gerald Schertberger, Rita at the world premiere of the operette “Die Rose des Kaisers” from Paul Hertel in Strasshof.

In Vienna, Anete has performed the roles of Maria in “West Side Story”, Gretel in “Hänsel und Gretel”, Pamina in “Zauberflöte” and Musetta in “La Boheme” and the role of Anina in “Eine Nacht in Venedig” at the Theater Wiener Neustadt.

She has performed at the Summerfestival Kittsee as Stasi from the operette "Die Csardasfürstin"” and at the Operetten-Festival in Luisenburg, Germany, she sang the role of Lisa in “Gräfin Mariza”. She is rugularly featured in Operetta Galas and has worked with church musicians all over the Europe."
