Creators of beauty are driven by passion
... driven by passion
Artists are the creators of beauty. This is what I wholeheartedly believe. The creators of beauty all have one thing in common: They are driven by passion. The opera singer uses her voice, the jeweller, his hands. In the end, what they create, could only be possible through dedication, starting from nothing, working for many years, to become the artists they have dreamed of being.
It was wonderful to be able to style the portfolio photoshoot for beautiful Ilseyar Khayrullova, the young Mezzo soprano at the Wiener Staatsoper. Ilseyar recently sang the roles of, Olga in Eugen Onegin and Fenena in Nabucco and was under study for Isabella in L`Italiana in Algeri. Ilseyar also sang the role of Olga, one of the three sisters in Tri Sestri by Peter Eötvös
I was particularly excited about the beautiful jewellery that was supplied by Heldwiein Juwelier for this photoshoot at the Hotel Imperial. It is very inspirational to learn that even one of the most renowned jewellers of Austria started small, in 1902, as a husband and wife team. Anton Heldwein started with his own designs while working closely together with the artists of the famous "Vienna Workshop" movement. It is an impressive success story of the rise of a jeweller's dynasty in the course of over 100 years.

After he moved his shop to the beautiful part that is known as the Viennes Graben, Hans Helwein created this hallmark to be seen as proof of the creative and artistic quality of every design and creation from the Heldwein Studio.
It was while he was staring out the window at the historic Pestsäule monument in Graben that Hans Heldwein got the inspiration for the hallmark as the master’s final seal of approval. To this day, jewellery pieces carrying this hallmark have been crafted in the heart of Vienna from the finest materials, to the highest quality, according to the master designs.

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”
It is always great to work with people who understand the importance of a portfolio as an artist and when I can collaborate and work with artists such as fashion designers (Juergen Christian Hoerl) , hair and make-up artists (Lisa Buchner), jewellery designers (Heldwein) and photographers (Vandehart photography) on a photoshoot, it makes me excited. I feel inspired to work creatively so that all involved could benefit from such a photoshoot. Let me not leave out the importance of the stunning venues that we have here in Vienna, such as (Hotel Imperial) to bring interior design and architecture as part of such a collaboration.
