"The stage is my passion..." - Joanna Lissai
“The stage is my passion and creates a world full of experience, memories, melancholia and fire. As artist, it is our privilege to live out this variety, to feel life and transmit meaning at the very moment."
Joanna finished her master studies in opera at the MUK Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien with honor, in which she talked about: "Belt(t) Canto - According to the Possibilities and abilities of a crossover singer in opera and Musical"
Beautiful Joanna has such a great, outgoing personality, energy and a passion for her art. The dresses she chose suited her well and every dress brought out a wonderful side of her colourful personality.
The venue of the photoshoot was the lovely Altstad Vienna, located on the Spittelberg. The vibrant colours of the interior of this hotel made it a perfect backdrop for the photoshoot of Joanna Lissai. The building was built in 1902 in the “Ringstrasse Style” and was originally a city palais of an industrialist under the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
Designed by world-famous architects like Matteo Thun or contemporary fashion stars such as Lena Hoschek, every corridor, room, or suite of Altstadt has a unique character and style and it was almost impossible to choose where to do the photoshoot. I could have spent a week and probably would have found more possibilities.
A designer with a diverse range of designs is the Austrian designer, Juergen Christian Hoerl. He realised his passion for design and interest in fashion at the age of 10. His fashion label JCH is characterised by clear lines, and high quality materials. He draws his inspiration from cultures, people and his travels.
All the production of the JCH designs are done exclusively in Vienna. From cut to final production. It is such an important aspect of this label as it is truly MADE IN AUSTRIA! Be proud to wear a JCH!
Upholding the highest standards, the fourth-generation family business, Heldwein has a truly remarkable range of jewellery. With the fine brands they have to offer as well as handmade jewellery, it was an absolute honour to be able to show off some of their jewellery. My favourite of course is the beautiful floral design ring with a diamond center and the matching floral earrings.
The jewellery is still crafted according to the high standards of the old Viennese craftsmanship traditions and each piece receives the famous Heldwein hallmark. All the jewellery carrying this unique Heldwein hallmark have been crafted by hand, in Vienna from the finest materials in the highest quality according to master designs.
This was a photoshoot where I could explore colour, texture, contrasts and lines, the design elements I am most fascinated by. The staircase, with its beautiful black iron balustrades, that worked so well with the JCH dress. I particularly like the photograph taken through the balustrades. It makes for a stunning image. Also, the white walls and very simple setting where Joanna is simply leaning against the wall on the stairs, looks very dramatic.
The complimentary colours of the blue corridor and orange dress created lovely vibrant photographs. Showing off the jewellery design on the white Faux fur rug gave a completely different feel. The hair and Make-up by Romina Mereu was done so soft and natural and suited Joanna perfectly.
I thought the contrast of the sequence against the grey chair made for an interesting photograph. The colour tone worked so well together.
These images of Joanna behind the piano are just so classically beautiful. There was no need to direct, she knew exactly what to do!
Sitting-on-the-stairs-photography, I always adore. Maybe it's the fairy tale Cinderella that makes the stairs so appealing for photography. Every staircase makes a different picture and every person makes their own picture. I love this!
The beautiful photography is the work of Reinhard Steiner. Reinhard is enthusiastic and passionate about his art and such a perfectionist. It was lovely working with him from start to finish.
